it sure has been a while since Dgen has updated this, but he has released a new version with many new features, there is evena new place to discuss this project at RB3D's New Forums

An update Finally
I see there is still interest here in my project so i will let you know where it is atr right now
these are posts taken off my forum so if they seem a little obscure it is just for you guys to see how it is coming along
HOT NEW FEATURE February 2009
headlining in release 0.3.60 is the Player Creation Studio
This is the life blood of your players it will be the main studio you will be in while creating the players for your project
this is where you will create your characters, set up there hand spots, assign default skin, set up hp,mp etc, also you will set up the characters leveling curve, strengths, weeknesses and skills along with weapon uses etc
this has to be perfect before i release and it is a real pain in the behind to create but i now have enough of it to show you guys...

This is where you can set up skins for your character and it is the starting point when you create a character (BTW like my improved fairy skin lol)

this displays you characters profile it uses the all new paneling system that will be used as the base panels for the project (v0.3.65) so i thought i would show them now

This is where you will set up your players settings etc as you can see i have not completed this feature yet (greys) but this is what im on at the moment - You will also be able to import player settings into your other projects too provided you have the same models.
i will post more shots of this as i develop this further - it is really 75% complete right now so not a great deal longer the hardest parts are now done all that is left is to finish up all of the features in this studio
but this is where we are currently at

Hi all
yes this is another improvement to the Character lab this is the final version though from now on this will be part of the Player Creation Studio..
New Features

improved file loader

This new version will copy all of the files asociated with the character into the runtime/characters folder in your project which will allow users to use there characters in other games and destroy the risk of crashing the project i have this feature working 100% but the beta testers will have there final say lol

Batch Skin importer
-----------------------
The new File loader allows the users alot more flexibility which set up the new batch skin importer - you will be able to import an unlimited ammount of skins for your base character with this nifty little feature

Asociated Characters
-------------------------
This feature allows you to import asociated characters such as horses, dragons etc to make for improved usability of your characters - this feature only animation matches - so you will have to make a character match the animations as in the animation of the character riding on a horse as well as walking then define it, but when we start using the .X or other format we will be able to use bones animations and ragdoll etc so this is still going to be improved
Character DB Files
----------------------
This is a database that stores all of your characters and animations which will fix the player crash issue and also allow you to copy the whole character folder into a new project which is also means you will only have to do the work once

Update SP4 A more recent SP 0.3.59.4
A small update has been made to the next SP of the project which is an improved Project manager, it means that now you can change the system forn (ready for panels) and select the music for the frst map - this may only be a small feature improvement but it still will make a significant difference to the projects that you will be making

Hi all
I am currently developing the new and improved Event system this will prove a major advancement into the development of the software and an increasde in stability regarding this feature.
The new Event system will be much more intuitive then its predecessor adding such functionality as - multi actions per event, Variable and flag implimentation for dynamic additions such as quests, less restrictive and future expandable. This new system has a more RPG Maker style to it so i can guarantee it will be easy to use though comprehensive enough to make your possibilities endless. There is a much more mature look to this system then that of RPG Maker and previous versions of RPG builder. So this is what is taking me so long but it is worth the wait
Event System interface:
the below image shows the Main Event System Window including the new teleport event action there are some things missing as these are mid way features and when the project update is released they will have been completed

Also in the next release we will have the new message system added this includes the new interface that AMBARD designed specifically for the editor so thank for that, there will be extra features added to this in the final release of the SP these includes an intuitive list of Text Manipulation codes hence the [?] and other options such as alignment and word wrapping which will make this editor more advanced then any RPG Development engine before
Now that you have seen what is in development behind closed doors i would like to know your opinions suggestions or questions.
