.::VR WALKING::. The virtual reality walkthrough
Here is what i have done--->
1. made vrw.exe in vs7.0
it reads in a b3d file and an irr file and alllows to walk
2. placed the data 114 files (lightmap,font,textures)
3. compressed and packed the whole using molebox pro..
4. made a zip of the above formed exe.
5. uploaded to mediafire....
I checked the file included...nothing other than resources..
the possible reason may be the way in which the packed exes behaves to bring about execution...this may be similar to some trograns or something bad....

so its better to stop thinking about this thing...
i havent added any virus/trogans inside...for sure...
the only problem may be the packaging software...that uses some heuristics that may be suspectable....
combining the highly efficient or over effient antiviral systems and the above fact.....norton was confused and finally rejected it.....
we may end this story here
FOR DEVSH the linux ad
linux may be the answer.....but most people like unanswerable questions in windows....

just either send it to norton and mcafee and ask them to do something about it or inform the users to switch off their antivirus for the time of install
also if you changed you code around a little and/or changed your IDE or compiler maybe the virus definition would not match.
p.s. hybrid are you a member of GameDev.net

devsh...why are you so angry towards windows....
its also a result of hardwork....they are asking money for that.....keeping its code as secret....
World was changed on it..esp computer world....then only linux came....
we should appreciate every knowledge and so you gain knowledge....
Do you know the fact in world there are a lot of more valuable knowledge that are kept secret and never revealed......like many medicines even for cancer and aids.....
So be cool and concentrate to increase you knowledge rather than simply wasting time in disproving windows....because you cant its not bill gates but a lot of bricks and wood to set up a WINDOW....

@devsh
Dude, I'm sorry, but your Windows rants are getting really annoying. It's Linux people like you that make me like Linux less. If you like it that's great. I like it too, but it is not suited for my every day needs. I run Ubuntu in VirtualBox for Linux testing and development. But my main stuff and gaming is all done on Windows. If you don't want to release your stuff for DX and Windows that is fine, but you don't need to go preaching the evils of Microsoft on your little podium.
EDIT: Also, your avatar is annoyingly wide, it always stretches the users profile column on everyone's posts. It'd be very awesome if you made it not so wide.

Anyway, for the sake of remaining on topic
skumar, it is generally a bad idea to use those exe packing programs, there will always be a virus scanner somewhere that picks it up as a virus. I'd just distribute everything in a zip file.
Also, are you limiting FPS or using a software renderer? My computer can run Left4Dead at 300 FPS, but it runs your vr program at 60-64 FPS.
My desktop:
AMD Phenom II X4 955 (Quad-Core 3.2 GHz)
6 GB of RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4800
Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate
