Anti-virus software problem.

Hi!
I want new good anti virus software now. Nowadays I use Kaspersky anti-virus. But due to this anti virus my computer become very slow. So I do not work faster on my computer. I want some advice which anti-virus is best for my computer and which one does not reduce speed of computer. If anyone has information please share here.

maybe you can try Avira. before that i was using avg but it lagged my graphic tablet... after i changed to avira it seems fine.

I am actually about to remove avira because I have the free version and absolutely hate the pop-ups it has at regular intervals. It take focus away from whatever I am doing, whether its a game or a movie or programming and puts it on the pop-up which is very annoying and very inconvenient at times especially if I am in an fps or a game that doesn't alt-tab well and tends to crash when you do.

I have used clamav before but I think they stopped win32 support for a little but are working on it again I think so you may want to check that out. It is intended more for unix though.

I don't think I have had any issues with AVG so giving it a try may not hurt but if it causes lag then I would switch as Virion stated.

My recommendation is Nod32 http://www.eset.com
I using him about 2 - 2.5 years and I am more than happy with him. And some version even have firewall included.
