I only get to the screen where it says "press y to continue" and I can hit y (or any other key) as often as I wish, no reaction, and I need to open the task manager to quit the app... :(

Press "D" in the startscreen instead of "y" then you can continue.

Hey, this is good! Could use some better artwork, but the gameplay is pretty fun. And it has decent AI.

Wine can do D3D usually - at least it worked here with the game.

The game shows you put a lot of technical talent and work into it. The graphics would probably improve a lot by using lightmaps. Gameplay is too hard for me, but I usually don't play shooters so I'm bad at playing those. Content-wise it's ... well a palestinian team doing a game that is about killing Israelis is probably as much of a bad cliche as you can get. If you want a better game then apply one of Hitchcocks rules for movie making: "Characters Must Break Cliché".

Now for some criticism
1) I think collisions are a little inaccurate
2) when you press w you walk normally, but when you hit w and a or d the speed is like two times more than normal
3)agreed to CuteAlien this really game needs lightmaps and maybe some antialiasing

otherwise id say its pretty good not that I say it would match counter strike or call of duty but hey its just 3 people working 6 months on a game !

what i liked:

- the quality of your characters. visuals and animations
- the sound that is played when you die
- the fact that i didn't encounter any bugs (apart from a missing crosshair in mission 3)
- the "vintage" art direction

what i didn't like:

- too difficult
- super-simplistic environments in mission 2 and 3
- the starting area of mission 1. you just don't know where you need to go

have you tried pressing with w and a or d at the same time?

oh and I forgot to say that jumps are a bit too small  (i like when you can jump around obstacles or jump over some gaps. That adds some fun to game ;]

yesh. it does double you're speed. but i thought of it as a coding oddity more than an actual bug

I think that's because he doesn't check weather player presses two non opposite keys so when you press two keys he applies the movement in both directions in eg. 'W' and 'A' .

and its not double I think ;]

I was thinking the same thing... but, it's a pretty good start nonetheless.
Missions would be cool.

Wow this is one cool ass game! The AI is incredible, I thought it was just regular shooting and crap like that..until I saw him duck behind cover, then I was like WTF AW3Z0M3?!?!

Graphics aren't the best, but the animations are good. At first I thought that the gun was just a 2D overlay picture, you should make the gun point outward so that you don't see the side of it.

Glitches:
In mission 2(and probably all the other ones), if you jump under a ramp and hold space you'll keep going up.
Also, idk if this is a glitch, but the cross-hair disappeared in missions 2 and 3

This could actually be a really good game, you already have 2 of the hard parts complete: AI and Collision, you just need graphics

Oh and I really liked the menu too :)

It ran OK for me, apart from no audio, on Linux 64 bit under Ubuntu 9.10. The audio problem could be my setup though.

One thing I noticed about the AI is that enemy soldiers only seem wake up if they see you, they don't appear to react to nearby gunfire.

Well done, it's good to see something so complete.
