Blender Ignores _ in Texture paths

Post by ACE247 »

Ok I know I should be posting this on the Blender Forums, but I just dont want to setup a new account there. So I'll try my luck here.

I have a small team of artists here working on a game project.
Obviously they all use different Modelling programs(Maya, Max, Blender, AC3D)

My problem is that when the blender using artists want to load obj together with its textures(from .mtl file) into blender, they cant.
I'll explain.
The texture paths in the .mtl file use _ symbols (because the textures name has those in it).
Example: Texture_Normal_head.png Blender however ignores the _ and sees it as a space.
Meaning that Blender then cant find the Texture to load.
Is there some way I can have blender not ignore the _ in the texture names?

I really dont want to go renaming all texture files and changing all the .mtl files. Cause I have tons of them.

Thanks in advance.
