Hi every one I was going to set up sound for irrlicht soon and I was wondering if any one has had any past experience with cAudio
http://deathtouchstudios.com/xoops/modules/news/
It looks nice, how easy is it to use with irrlicht and is there any reason to use it vs openAl?
One of the big factors for me is how much documentation they have. (I have never done any coding regarding sound)
If any one could give some advice on this matter please respond
would any one advise cAudio vs openAl
Re: would any one advise cAudio vs openAl
cAudio is just a wrapper for openAL !!!trollger wrote:cAudio vs openAl
so the question is: using native openAL or with the help of cAudio...
I for myself use openAL with self made helper functions for my needs (some sort of my own wrapper tho)...
also openAL is pretty easy to use (IMO)...

Sorry to bring back a thread from the dead, admins.
I am just about to get started right now on compiling the OpenAL library + some functions and helpful classes to make it easy to use with Irrlicht and just easier to use in general.
