Are you trying to build it from source? Or are you using the binary package? I haven't tested on XP lately, I'll try and do so soon though.

licensed, opensource, how liberal, more information?
what tools are you using to profile, how stable is it?
you know typical need more info type stuff.
irrlicht could do with an irredit alternative with a nice liberal license.

If you look on the project page there's a feature list. It's pretty stable, but this is still the alpha, I'll be fixing any bugs that I hear about though.

Yes, very nice...
I should show this to some of my friends who fear the programming in C++.

I finally found time to test the program, but it just crashes on my system (Windows XP 32 Bit). I just tried to run the executables that come with the package, didn't try to compile it myself.

It crashes on start-up for me too. The console only says "argv is:"

Hmmm, I think I know what's going on, I'll release a patch version. It'll be a sec though. It might not be ready until tomorrow. I'm going to test it out on windows XP 32 bit first.

Okay, It looks like it might be fixed by now. I also added image and mesh loader support to the plugin system. You'll have to recompile any existing plugins though.
