Team Needed - Galactic Dream Rage of War Completed Project - expansion and Open project release
I really don't have any more time to work at Rage of War.
I allays wanted to release the code as open source, but I did not have time to do this.
If we can getter a small team to work on feature version of the game we will release the code of the game as open source, and the rest of the media files with some license which in the end will make the game free for all.
Anybody interested? I'm looking for developers with some experience/commitment in making games.

Game is rather well known here already (it's in the screenshot section on the main-page), but certainly we'd always enjoy a few more screenshots. Too bad it did go so wrong with your publisher.

What would you have in mind for these updates? Any new features, or maybe just an overhaul of certain existing parts of the game?

It seems that after this loooong time the publisher managed to contact us. Unfortunately the sells are something which doesn’t really deserver to be mentioned.
The good news is that an extension /new game based on Galactic Dream will be made, the game will have an first option for Publisher.
The release of the source code is ok, to release the full game to the public is not really possible, but with the help of some graphicians, and maybe from us I think we can find a possibility to release a working version of a RTS game.
Now it all depends if a small team with Iirrlicht, game developing experience can be gathered to take care of the project.
The bad part is that some parts of the code are extremely complicated (the collision part), the network part need special attention, work, and testing.
The Irrlicht version is a custom made one which allows thousand of rendered entities.
Right now the game is one of the few 3D games which allow unlimited number on units.
I don’t know how big the Irrlicht community is now, but it seems that Irrlicht is still one of the top 3D engines, and it will be nice if we can offer in the feature an starting RTS engine for the interested developers.
There are many options, but it all depends in what direction the team will want to go.
Right now I don’t even have the environment installed to compile the game.
Let me be clear with one thing, I don’t want to run the new team or participate in the future development, I will just give them maximum liberty and all the support I can give to them.
