But I must get a map editor.
I download a quake3 source code,but I can't compileit.

I can only give you some names of editors, which are open source.

There are more of them, but it's hard to remember.

Also coding your own editor might be a good idea, though would require some time.

I am using the irredit 1.5 its an older free version and works perfectly.
Also it include all necesary features you need.

Just have a look at the coppercube homepage and look for older verions

Yea ... IrrEdit 1.5 is great. I like it because you can extend it with plugins, and I made tons of those.
