Valve Left 4 Dead AI document

I was doing some looking around for some articles on AI development and came across a document released by Valve about the AI in left 4 dead. It's an interesting read.

I really liked the climbing algorithm. It's crafty.

nice doc, my favorite bits were Structured Unpredictability and Adaptive Dramatic Pacing
very useful reference when designing AI for anykind of game IMO

Adaptive Dramatic Pacing => Awesome tip for when playing the game! As long as my team stays cool and quiet we can have really few zombies and finish easy... Awesome! =)

You have to be careful with that because if the AI Director doesn't think your moving fast enough it'll send more zombies to speed you up sometimes.
