Um wait a minute, could you call it (officially)
Dark Reign III: [whatever you choose here]
Like:
Thief III: [Deadly shadows]

Im clueless about that but your project looks cool. I think they should allow it as a fan-thing. (If they arent going to make it themselves, anyway)

LOL... I'm not worried about Activision complaining. I was actually going to ask about a source release for the Tactics Engine but as I said they don't seem to care :( Which makes me think they won't even care if I do call my game Dark Reign 3.

BTW, do you have MSN? Add me in... I'd be interested in discussing all this further. And I may be able to get you a copy of that mod I mentioned... ;)

Now: Enemy Territory. If you got two great teams and you're not that bad either: best gameplay experience ever. It has a great mix of realism and "Quake 3-style fun". The graphics are good (a bit outdated but who cares), sound is also good, only the physics are a bit weird sometimes. But overall, best game (concerning GAMEPLAY) ever imo. Oh, there's a Windows and Linux version and it's free.

Galaxia - Atari 2600

Golden Axe - On my Amiga 500
Double Dragon II - Amiga 500

TIE Fighter - one of the best gameplay experiences ever

RTCW and Wolf: ET - making Quake 3 engine fun

Some of those old Amiga games were top notch - 256 colours and no hard drive are no bar to good games. I feel like going and booting the ol' girl up and happy a spin right now!
