Steam On Linux leak (clever viral campaign?)

Post by ACE247 »

As quite a lot of us probably already know, Valve is and has been for quite a while developing Steam for Linux, aswell as porting its Source Engine. A short while ago a closed beta was announced. Now the bird is out of the cage though :)
One can now install Steam on Linux without being a Beta member. Given how easy it is to do, is this just a clever campaign by Valve? I mean we are talking about Valve here, a pretty 'non-standard' Game Company that has obtained almost legendary status for just about anything it does. Have a look for yourself and what do you think?
