One bone animation, multiple meshes

Post by Guest »

Hi,

I was wondering if it would be possible to attach multiple meshes to one bone animation, and if so, how this could be achieved.

If you take morrowind for example, the characters exist out of multiple meshes. Head, neck, torso, arm, hand etc. But they are all connected to one bone animation, so they can easily change parts of the character, like another head or another torso.

Would be great if someone could give me tell me if this would be possible in the engine at this point.

You could try making a bone structure in whatever modelling app you use, and animate it there. Then in Irrlicht just load the different body parts as child limbs to certain parts of each bone.
