Lack of documentation

Post by Pink Floyd »

Irrlicht is my favourite engine, but I have to say that there is very few documentation for beginners (like I am).
The tutorials are very helpful, but they describe only some aspects of the engine (like the FPS camera or the gui).
For example, I would never have learned that there was an orthogonal camera function if there wasn't an unofficial tutorial related to it.
You'll say "there's the API documentation", but for 3d beginners it isn't very easy to learn an engine only with that.
So I ask you: are there some guides that treat of many aspects of the engine?
Or can someone expert write down some lines?

I'm sure I'll personally do it when I'll become an Irrlicht expert, but right now I am not.

I also ask you a link for a good 3d manual that focuses on the basic theory, not on the libraries.
I think a theoric 3d guide is needed to fuly understand the Irrlicht classes and functions.

Thank you,
Pink Floyd

Those (3D introductions) can be widely found on the web. Also, when you get the hang of how Irrlicht works you'll see it's very self-explaining.

I wasn't talking about the general characteristics of how the engine works, for them I don't need more tutorials, but about the use of all the most useful functions, which I can't clearly understand only reading the API.

Anyway, I was not ordering someone to write a guide for me, just asking
