I'm installing a water cooling system on my computer. I want to turn it on to test if everything is working but I don't want to risk my CPU and GPU. Especially my GPU .
Could someone tell me if it would be ok to plug the PSU in the MoBo to get it working without installing the CPU?
Another solution would be to connect together pins 13 and 14, according to this :
Pin Signal Color 1 Color 2 Pin Signal Color 1 Color 2
1 3.3V orange violet
2 3.3V orange violet
3 GND black black
4 5V red red
5 GND black black
6 5V red red
7 GND black black
8 PW_OK grey orange
9 5V_SB violet brown
10 12V yellow yellow
11 3.3V orange violet
12 -12V blue blue
13 GND black black
14 PS_ON green grey
15 GND black black
16 GND black black
17 GND black black
18 -5V white white
19 5V red red
20 5V red red
To do so, what type of wire should I use and what are the dangers of electric shocks
A mother without CPU - DANGER?

botherboards dont boot without video, cpu or ram.
any of these missing and you'll get beep warnings from your internal speaker.
so , you do need your cpu and video card in (and ram)
the only thing you may leave unplugged are your harddrives. to boot into bios u dont need them.
I'd suggest getting a cheap video card to plug in while you test stuff... and it would be ideal if you could do the same withthe processor.
but anyway, even if yould unplug everything you may fry the mobo

Ah.. just make sure you have no leaks and watercooling is fine.
I'm on my third year of watercooling with my main right.
Afecelis is right. The mobo will turn on and just beep, but will start up your PSU.
Connecting the pins works, also. I do that on my test bench. You could even buy a plug that does the same thing that a paperclip does. I forget what they are called, but I bet someone on the http://www.hardforum.com would know.

Crud, how do I do this again?
