I created a .x file using blender and got big problems when using it with the engine...
the normal DirectX and DirectX8 exports aren't working with IRRLicht at all, and when I export with the exporter plugin for blender that came with the engine, the objects are... completely screwed up), does anybody know what's going on? if not, my friend's going to be buying 3DSMax this summer, so we can manage

The best would be if you send me an example (*.blend file and resulting *.x), you find my email address in the exporter *.py file (the "Mod" one that came with Irrlicht).
