Hey it is possible you came across a bug, if I were you I would try to reproduce it in one the newer demos like this: http://walaber.com/sp.htm
or any of this http://www.delphigl.de/eng_index.html
and let then knows maybe it is some bug they do not know about. Or do not know how to reproduce.

I had not seeing that happens but it seems you found a rabbit hole, in a two years old demo. I think that was reported as a bug back then when version 1.0 came out, but the engine is on version 1.32 It seems you are holding a WWII grudge and you do not realize the war is over.

I hate to disappoint you but if you didn’t know every engine has its virtuds, limitations and problems for example take a look at this: http://trueaxis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40

not one advertises that as a negative, it could very well be a bug, worse a user bug. Those things get fixed over time.

I have noticed that when most people use an engine and the engine does not work for them, they just move on to something else. But this is not the case with Newton, some users not only don’t use it but they don’t want other people to use it either, very estrange reaction.

Anyway I think this conversation is irrelevant because Soy1Bonus already made the decision to go with true axis, so I do not know why you worry so much.

Not sure why you're getting so bent out of shape. I was just pointing out what I've seen in testing the engine, I'm not trying to stop anyone from using it. Nobody even knows me here, so I don't think my opinion weighs much in peoples minds anyway.
And sure, all physics engines have their bugs, even high priced solutions like Havok, I've just run across more odd behavior in Newton than some other engines is all I'm saying. Newton is good stuff, especially seeing that it's free, but I wouldn't say it's the best of the free solutions, just like I wouldn't say Ogre is better than Irrlicht. All IMO.

But you are, and instead of proving your claim on the proper channel you keep misrepresenting the engine.

great fun! I hope there will be loop-the-loops, i loved them in the old stunt racer games!

got bugs for you, I changed the screenmode to 1024x768 but it saved 0x0 to the xml then crashed each time i tried to play it after that. Also, after alt-F4 quitting I'm left with a NX03.exe running in the background.

it runs at around 220 FPS on this PC, Athlon 1.4, GeForce FX 5200 Ultra, 512MB RAM (640x480 window mode)

good work, I look forward to the finished game :)
