as usual, WASD navigation, alt+f4 to quit, no collision so feel free to fly around and check the level.
2 things I must add:
1. I'm very very impressed by Giles' ambient lighting. It's one of the most realistic ones I've seen, even in GI pro apps.
2. My3d from giles works better since Giles produces a single lightmap file whereas from max this level would have produced hunreds of lightmaps, making it a heavier and slower file. My3d from giles speeds up things, and the lightmaps are very decent.
have fun, as usual let me know whatcha guys think.
Anybody else who downloaded it getting this or any other error?
thnx for reporting Macarraum, I'll look into it.
Forgot to say:
The app is windows only, and the dll has got Chips' hack for AA in DX. It's forced to work at 4x; so perhaps hardware specs may be an issue as well.
I'll post an opengl exe as well but it won't look as pretty (no AA)
Irrlicht Engine version 0.9

Was not able to create Direct3D9 device.
Was not able to create DirectX9 device.
Could not create DirectX9 Driver.
Error: Could not load built-in Font.
oh yeah forgot to say: i would never turn on antialiasing on in your app, that sucks. the user can set antialiasing in the driver settings of his graphic card. at least i dont like games which force me to use certain antialiasing settings, but its only a suggestion.
maybe you could make some sort of an .INI file loader where the user can set the antialiasing level
I's hard for me to admitt it (being the opengl fan I am), but it looks ugly compared to dx!!! (the jaggies makes it look almost like software rendered!!!) and performance went down to 80 fps.

SOTM is dead...

About the shot of the month removal: I've recieved a lot of submissions every month and it was always difficult to choose the best and not to make any one angry because of this. So I decided to drop it. Instead, I created a new section on the screenshots page, where I now want to add shots of projects using Irrlicht, together with short descriptions.
