gonna be a bit away

Post by afecelis »

ok guys. My life is about to undergo some major changes (good changes).

I had the fortune of getting my first (owned) apartment so It seems I won't be paying rent anymore after almost 7 years of doing so. Since some time ago I've started packing my stuff up with my wife and trying to get things ready to move out (paying bills, organizing things at the new apartment, etc). The bad news is that where I'm moving to is still too new to have cable coverage, so I'll be a bit away from the forums and from Irrlicht, although I'll still check things from the office and stuff, only not as actively as I used to.

To be honest, all this is what has kept me a bit away from the forums lately. Anyway, it might be a couple of months while I get cable back again so meanwhile wish me luck. I'll post some pics up when I move in.

ps. And also you may check the blog I just started a couple of days ago:

peace!

Hey Pax, gracias por los buenos deseos!! :D No sabia que hablaras espanol tambien. De donde eres?

Thnx Niko and Gfx for the good wishes! That doesn't mean I'll stop helping around here, only that I'll have to do it from work during my breaks, hehehehe. But having internet at home sure is an advantage. I think I'll have to take a phone connection meanwhile (in order not to loose my email) and perhaps go to some cybercafes nearby or something. To be honest, life would be very boring without Irrlicht and the stuff you do with it. It becomes like an addiction which you can't leave.

And of course, I'll be posting pics of it; as a matter of fact, the opening party is gonna be with all of you guys!!! My Irrlicht friends, ehehehehe

ps. It's funny but I just noticed 90% of my stuff is books and cds. I wonder how I get dressed at all!!!

That's great news Af. :)
Hope your move goes smoothly.
It sounds like your "owned apartment" is what we call a "townhouse" here in the states. They are nice. :)
Now, how do you get dressed when 90% of your stuff is books and cds? hmm, that's simple... virtually speaking. :D
(with the other 10% of stuff :D )
Have a great move and will see you when you are on. :)
If it exists in the real world, it can be created in 3d

thnx benoit and Miker!

Well it's not a townhouse but a 2-floor apartment, it's not big but it's got enough space for me, my wife, dogs, my stuff and any of you guys who need a place to stay when you come nearby!!!!

oh, and a lovely terrace. Prolly in about a week or so things will be ready.

thnx for the positive energy, it has been a weird and tough week :D

hehehe, you noticed! :D

well, the good news is that I found an ISP that covers the area I'm moving to so in the end I won't be away as much as I expected; only the time it takes them to hook me up :D

and since I still haven't moved (I'll start next monday), I'm taking advantage of the last days of my contract with the cable company.

and it has been good cause I had the chance of doing my job as a mod, play a bit with My3d, and got codeblocks to work for Irrlicht!!!

besides, being without inet and Irrlicht would suck badly!
