Light DirectX SDK (april 2005) - 6,8mb filesize

Post by Guest »

hi!

because the dxsdk is 155 mb big and many people cannot download that much / dont have the time, i thought i would upload a lighter version.

i removed the Documentation and the Samples folder and compressed it with winrar.

it has 6,8mb , so a lot smaller than the original.

ps: if something like this already exist please tell me. if not, it would be really nice of someone would host this file since my crappy lycos account has very limited bandwith :)

link (rightclick/save as..):

You removed the documentation? You should be killed for that ;) RTFM ;) ;) ;) ;)
I think the docs are important... I know Microsoft's docs are not always the best but without documentation the whole think is a bit naked...

I'm not sure you can redistribute the SDK, let alone modify it.

Not long ago, I think DevCpp had such problems with devpacks.

i dont care about unless microsoft sends me an email ... or i do it like this: if someone wants to have it, drop me a pm and i´ll mail you the file. i guess no one here is going to microsoft and tells them that i "modify" their sdk (removed 2 folders ..) and publish it to the net because i actually did something useful for the community :?

You removed the documentation? You should be killed for that Wink RTFM Wink Wink Wink Wink

why do you need the documentation if you want to recompile irrlicht? :) i didnt say that this is the sdk replacement, but you still need the dxsdk to recompile irrlicht and therefore you will need the files that comes with this lite sdk pack

Thankyou GFX. :)
I've downloaded it. If you need another mirror, I can mirror it too.
If it exists in the real world, it can be created in 3d

Sys specs:
AMD 3700+ 64 processor
1.0 gb ram
e-Geforce 6600 graphics 256 mb onboard ram

If you already read some of my post, you'll know I'm not the kind of person who will misinterpret and bitch about what you said or not :P

With that said, all I wanted to do was sharing a little bit of information to avoid problems both to you and this forum.
