you REALLY haven't downloaded and tried the engine. Besides the necesary include and lib archives to develop stuff, examples and bin files you get the complete source to do with it whatever you please and how you please. There are tons of mods and fixes to the source here in the forums.

I'd suggest you download Irrlicht 0.10, compile some examples and then uncompress the source and compile the dll yourself. Little by little you'll start adding stuff to it.

expect some more similar answers to mine!

Thanks,i thought it was not provided with the sdk.anyways, people interested in graphics development, can visit this cool site called devmaster.net.it features a complete 3d engine database and a list of top open source 3d engines with ogre3d on the 1st rank and irrlicht engine on the 3rd rank.it also features some cool tips for shders, water effects and other things.the nebula device(also a opn source engine),is up for download, along with it's second installment.Radon labs is also giving the sourcecode of the nebula device for free(note that nebula device 2 is to be used for private use only).the nebula device features some interesting features like day-night cycle and a sky editor.currently,i am checking it's sourcecode and will add some of nebula device's features to irrlicht engine.
