The cliam on the home page is that you will get the software package for free if there are 100,000 registries by Aug 1st 2005. It looks like it may be a solidworks and more cad package. A lot of reviewers say that this appears to be legitimate and not a spam email harvester. I signed up about 2 weeks ago and havent had any spame in my account.
Here is the home page:

looks interesting; it also looks like a good way of promoting their stuff and getting a huge database.
69800 registrations when I entered mine; let's hope the 100.000 are reached prior to Aug.1

83,155 as of right now. I'm not 100% sure they'll hit 100K by Aug 1st.

I don't doubt it. They'll hit it by the 25th.
Reading in the blender forums someone mentions it's a limited version of alibre, 3d modeling package-solidworks like.
http://www.alibre.com/
Although it's not a full blown 3d app, and it's more oreinted to mechanical design it might come in handy.
pros-it will be free, or at least that's what they say
cons- it might be a limited version-no linux version.

I think it is a time limited demo. Afte the time limit you must buy the software.
