Irrlicht Offscreen Rendering

Post by AutoDMC »

I'm way too tired. I did a search and found exactly nothing.

I'm looking for a way to render an Irrlicht Scene offscreen non-realtime. I want possibly high resolution or low resolution. I want all the cool 3d features.

I was thinking of using Mesa + Irrlicht to do this... I'm afraid I'm too tired to make sense.

I found another thread about something similar in Beginner's Forum, I think.

I need Irrlicht to render one frame for a scene that I put togeather to a software buffer. If I put particles or animated meshes, etc, I need it to be non-realtime so that I can sit and process on a frame, then get the exact next frame.

If this makes sense, I'd appreciate any pointers.

Thanks. (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZz)
