Deleting an undeletable file
By any chance do any of you know how to delete a file off your computer that when you just normally press delete, it says access denied? I also tried safe mode but that didnt work either. So are there any programs I can download which are made for this type of thing?
Maybe it helps you to read this:

They offer a program that might work for you:

Boot with a Linux Live-CD (Knoppix, Feather or whatever) and delete it. If that does not work your filesystem has been replaced by a trojan. So you have to reinstall from the disk image you have certainly made before, this will take about 2-3 min. from image. Reinstalling from installation disc however is a pain in the, as you know. You can use partimage from the above mentioned Live-CD's to produce this image. If you don't you are an ape, better throw away youre comp and grow bananas.
I dont know of anyone who uses disk images to backup their machine, you're an ape for even mentioning it. You probably write those backup images to tape drives as well right?
If you're using WinXP, there's a feature called System Restore. However, the best thing for you to do, is to open Task Manager, evaluate all the processes running( not applications, but processes ). If you aren't sure what a process does, google it. If you find no offenders there, check your Services, in Control Panels->Administrator Tools->Services. You could also try downloading the MS Anti-Spyware BETA and the MS Malicious Software Removal Tool. I've never had a file like that I couldn't delete, and it, in the past was always caused by Kazaa, do you have Kazaa installed?
