I'm writing my thesys: can I use code of the tutorials??

the author is niko (the god who coded the irrlicht engine)

i dont think that this is not allowed :)

I don't know if the tutorials are copyrighted, but you should ask either Niko or the person who wrote the tutorials just to be sure.

Well if the whole project is open source I would think you could use the code from the tutorials.

afaik the engine and tutorials are all released under the same licence(zlib) which means you can use the code as long as you dont claim you wrote it.
if you're looking for me, start looking on irc, i'm probably there.

ok thanks: for the moment for solving the problem I've explained a simple code of mine.
