I almost forgot...

@Omaremad about doomq let's have forgot about this old FPP game. It really ... was bad I think, and it is not good to show it. It was only some test version and development has stopped. Also I think that when you make an FPS it is good to use Newton, with which I don't have any knowledge.
So please do not release Doom Q. This application was not ready to be released.

I checked up Azdec Independent today, and it looks really good. I think you are going to make great FPS game. Keep it up ! :D

BTW: Here is program list I'm using to get important things into project:

- GUICE beta
- Irrlicht Particle Editor
- Milkshape 3d (I make all animations for the models, so they don't look so professional and awesome as they could look, but lets say that they are ok :P)

btw my skills have improved alot so dont think i still program that way

Doomq isnt that bad. its nice to have a fps demo that actually works rather than a lame flying camera and a poorly drawn gun demos that appear too often here

plz give us the demo soon

It is indeed looking quite nice.
Not to sound negative, but be prepared to change at least the name at some point though.
Free or not, you can expect a cease and desist letter from Tolkien when you begin to distribute it.

But it is looking great!

All right, I need your help !

I've got thousands of ideas about the game, but here are some questions about things with which I'm not so sure about:

QUESTIONS:

1) Should there be 2 factions avaible (Alliance Defiance: Human/Elven/Dwarf/Hobbit versus Abyss Union: Orc/Goblin/Evil Human/Spectre(Undead) ),
or there should be only 1 faction avaible -> Alliance Defiance ?

2) What mounts should be avaible, except Brown Horse and Giant Eagle ? (it will depend on how many factions there will be avaible in-game)
At this moment there is also a Wyvern flying mount prepared for Spectre race but I'm not sure if it is good idea to make 2 factions. It will require a lot of work ;)

I have made some progress. I will post it later with new screenshots. :D

Too bad that no one showed his/her interest in giving some thoughs, but I've decided to make two factions -> good and evil.

PS This project is going too much similiar to WoW at some points :P

the good vs bad thing could actualy be a good idea :)

when u gonna post them new screens?

(oh and i thought about having one of those giant hog things (from number 2) for the bad people to ride on? ( The ones that barge aragon off the cliff ) )

you could also add those enourmous elephants and those big black bird things that the wraiths ride on and scream etc.

At this moment I'm working on Spectres (Nazguls race) so It will take me about hour from now to finish them up and then post some screens.

Those who barge Aragorn from the cliff ? I guess you mean Wargs :D
Yes, Wargs will be avaible as mounts for Orcs.

@Maize

I think you are talking about wraith's Wyverns. And yes, they will be avaible as a flying mounts for Spectres.

I think that Oliphants are a bit too enormous to be usable.
Hmm but ok it's rather a great idea, I will make some Young Oliphants for Haradrim race. :D

New screens with Sceptre race and info about the races will arrive shortly!

what is the battle system like in your game?

is it mmorpg style or real time action fighting?

Hmm it is rather Real-Time battle, I mean you control everything, similiar to Diablo 2.

This is the biggest diffrence between my game and for example WoW. Because in WoW it is real Role Playing battle, in which you only click few times and character is doing everything you command.

In my project you hit the enemy with left mouse button, use skills/spells with right mouse button and there are no things like auto-attack etc.

Battle still needs a lot of tweaks to be much more enjoyable than it is :D

But at the moment it is basic, simple, working and nice. (nice because it works :P)

I also will later make some quick skill switching, because without it game wouldn't be playable enough.

Thanks for such interest ErUs, I will finish Spectres race in a moment. :D

hmm może ta gra się uda... ale nie jest zbyt zaawansowana gura 0.5 miesiąca roboty.

Hmm you think that you can make such thing in two weeks ?
Say everthing you want. I'm just an amateur and it took me few months. (I'm new in Irrlicht and c++ since last year)

As technically advanced - I really don't care. I will maybe consider adding Blur effect later, but the main point of the game WAS NOT the graphics. But how the game is playable and what satisfaction it gives you <- that is important to me :D

I'm sorry that I can't afford you with newest bumpmapping effects with blurs, lens flares and some other cute motives...

BUT you think that the screens you see are from final version ? Hmm as you could suspect they are not. At first look at the groud. Detail is very low. This all will be redone, also some lightmaps should appear soon.

BTW Your project looks good, but I can't download it right now. Maybe you should host it here for example: www.megaupload.com .

And I will give you advice for the future Delan, in you project's topic you have responsed to Sudi: "f****** models" - this is the worst characteristic of a programmer/developer. Maybe you are about too nervous and impatient.

In conclusion, I would like to say that I DIDN'T like your comment : maybe two weeks of work. It is flaming a bit.

(sorry but I'm sensitive about that, it is just I didn't laugh from your work)
