As I also published this last night on the IRC channel I might as well show you guys this simple build plan (or what ever theyre called)
I hope it gives even just a weak idea of the concept.
Im also working on some quick 3D renders to give you an idea of what the camera would be seeing. Should help you understand even better.

And how it should work? as i can see you get only w2 pos, but how do you get hight? and do you write some image recognition program?Saku wrote:The new build plan: http://img407.imageshack.us/my.php?image=plan25wd.png
My project in forum- ATMOsphere - new dynamic sky dome for Irrlicht
i think this plan might be a bit clearer relating to how it recognizes, and it uses a mirror as a lensPazystamo wrote:And how it should work? as i can see you get only w2 pos, but how do you get hight?
there are some libs out there that do motion recognition... if they're not suitable, then just a quick black-spots-on-white detection should be enoughand do you write some image recognition program?
the problem will be the api, as it will have to be almost completely different from almost everything today, and no mainstream programs will support it right away without changes
(Hope you dont mind ElementoY)

LOL... Yeah.. Btw how much do you guys think one of these cost. I know on newegg a touch screen is about $1,500 just for the screen. With that you can only use one hand on the screen at a time.

Both the one in the video and the ones we are trying to build are purely conceptual, but as stated on the website these are actually quite cheap to make.
I think the most exspensive part of the input device, in my end of the world at least, is the plexi.
The screen can, as you can see in the original clip, be a projector. I was more thinking of maybe just have the input infront of a CRT screen or maybe my laptop, unless I can borrow a projector somewhere.
