yes...

one of those freaking genius of the old european comic of 70s-80s , and some early 90s....

I am a comic artist myself, but never have the time...argh...indeed, is my real passion, and my oldest skill, together with oil painting.

Have you read Thorgal? (Rosinsky -drawing- , Van Hamme(story).I think V.Hamme is also author of XIII. Drawn by Vance. Not so found of human figure drawing of Vance, but he kicks ass in any other type of drawing...)
The story of XIII is really good, imo.

or anything of Caza, Milo Manara, Juan Gimenez, Jean Giraud ((Gir)Moebius, but not so fond of his Moebius stage) , Charlier (writer, the one who wrote for Gir's Blueberry) ... Maroto (great anatomy knowledge) ...My personal favourites were french, belgium, spanish and italian "schools"....This type of comic I find more alive today in france, at Anguleme meetings. Some rare but amazingly good comic drawing there.

Jodorowsky made the Metabarones, funnily, being one of the greatest pieces of those times, I yet haven't had the chance to read it...the drawing of that album I think was done by moebius, but unsure now...

Oh, forgot..of that era, was the absolutely skilled Horacio Altuna, from Argentina. And his main comic was a real social criticize.

Today, there are some young comic pencillers from Venezuela and some other South America countries, that even blow away some of the best known comics of the 70-80s. But what I see they are unknown, or almost.

midnight, did you read the plot description for the technopriests on wiki? you should. I think you would like it. It is about sex, drugs, money, fame, rock n roll, techno...and of course game design.

Comic books have some good ideas for video games. so comic books are boring? make it into a game. The Technopriests would make an awesome game. Never read the comic? so what?! who cares. if the premise is good, go for it.

Alexandro Jodorowsky is they guy who tried making a DUNE movie without reading the book.

:P
