Hi guys,
how can use DevC++ with DX9?
For DX8 there's a solution on this forum.

As long as there is a DX9 package for Dev Cpp, you should be able to. I don't know whether or not the engine dll posted for dx8 would work however. Its just the same modification though, but don't delete the directx 9 line
