Irrlicht recommended by 3D Game Studio Developers

Post by thesmileman »

Just Looking around and noticed this link on The 3D GameStudio Web site. It even recomends using Irrlicht Engine as well as Crystal Space(God that thing is hard to use) and Nebula. Irrlicht is even mentioned first. Not to bad for an engine that is so young!

Also there is a comparison of Irrlicht with outher engines, and while I am sure it is a little biased as they are trying to sell there own products, Irrlicht looks pretty good as to features.

Take a look!

Funny side note the author used the phrase "most stablest".

Yes, I saw that comparison table some months ago. I'd remark they listed Irrlicht as a DX9 engine.. I suppose my work on the old dx9 drivers for Irrlicht was useful afterwards :D (much earlier before 0.5 and DX9 support was announced by Niko)

I think they simply meant Julio Gorgés unofficial DX9 driver :)
A. Authoring Systems: Virtools (if you can afford it); 3D Languages: Blitz; free 3D engines: Irrlicht, Crystal or Nebula. They are quite stable, fast, and acceptable documented.
Cool :)
