Hello,
i would like to reply to this topic.,
yes irr has been changed to engine, but porting this engine was a very hard work, we had to work and rewrite a lot (most of them) of classes, it's a wonderful engine but how do you think it works in 24mb of ram if a player mesh takes 4mb?
Irrlicht is mentioned everywhere, in the source, in the site, it's obvious that most of the acknowledgments goes to the irrlicht community but let us take ours
It's free also for commercial purposes just let me know, i would like to know if they use it ^^.
Ok this is all, thanks to all the irrlicht community.

This is a good advert for Irrlicht, it can only mean more users in the long run. credit is given, and the freedom of the license says they can sell it if they want to. of course everyone would prefer it if it were free, but if they were always going to port an engine to sell it might as well be Irrlicht
Also, siberianstar posted code for of memory saving changes for md2 meshes, they probably won't make it into irrlicht without a tidy up though, but still worth looking in to

I discovered that engine a week ago and was wondering why they did it this way. It would have been nice if they would have told us somehow about that engine. I mean it's absolutely ok with the license what they did, but it's always interesting to know where irrlicht is being used, especially if it is something like that. Irrlicht running on the PSP, nice.
