indeed...I have been -as an artist- with a problem like this before...I think there were two solutions(in artist's side), making bigger the texture, like 1 or 2 pixels, or making smaller the uv chunks,ie: scalling uvw chunks in the UVW edit window in Max, or doing so in Milkshape, Ultimate Unwrap or whatever you use.
Don't know, try, as it maybe a cheap solution. And I think they mentioned "mipmapping" problem when we had to solve that...
