I agree, looks like a good faced pace space shooter, nice effects on the missiles, can't wait to play a demo. Is it a view from the front of the ship or is it an RTS type top-down view above your ship?

Looks great. That's a nice use of cross-polys for the missile trails, but the joins are pretty obvious. Have you tried using quads and pointing their up vectors at the camera?

Also, did you end up going with RakNet or Boost.asio?
