when using the syntax-check i also get this message

[Warning] `nul.gcda' is not a gcov data file

im not good at handling error messages so what can it be

gcov is not a tool for syntax checking. I don't think that you should use that tool anyway, it's an advanced developement tool which is probably not intended for beginners. Syntax check will be done by your IDE or compiler, next thing to learn is the debugger. If you really managed those you can proceeed with profiling and maybe then would be a good time to start with code coverage examinations.

okay after a long time i sat down a again fighting against my enemy,the bug

well i found out that if i only ask for a pointer to the caller it runs well

so i thought if the s32 id is protected i can call it directly... or can i not? but anyways i says ID has not been declared even if i remove the protected tag so that s32 ID is public...

Acki does the IrrExtensions change anything at IGUIElement.h?

BTW: I also had the error with Dev-cpp, but it is a non-documented feature so there might be some error in the current dev-cpp version.
