Why do you want so many programmers?

Because it's our target aim is 35 hours of game play.
It's an epic game, which is different from what more independent teams.
They require quite a bit of assistance.

Eh, sarcasm appart, i doubt an epic game could get out of such story. No offense but that's what i think.

I think that approach heads exactly into the right direction.
Modern games tend to put way too much ressources into graphics and looks and the gameplay and especially the depth always suffers.

Why do you want to play a game that looks almost real when you can finish it in half a day and then never touch it again?

Though I think the story is a bit odd, too... I mean, it's great until the girl squad is introduced. Sounds a little bit that people can expect some hentai, which is not what you want to achieve I imagine? At least it's nothing that you should do...

Apart from that... everything shouts Anime Style to me am I correct?
The story with the afterlife and such... fighting and energy attacks.

You guys like DragonballZ? :) Well, no shame... I like the game idea (except for that "fox force five" thing *g*)

Those backgrounds don't look likeanime, but the story does seem to be something from an anime or something similar as Nova has said. Although it still does sound very interesting.

Yeah, we're focused on game play more then anything.

haha. I assure you, there is no hentai. The goal of B.E.A.U.T.Y. as a female group, almost has another concept to it all together. However, all these fit together to make the game, it all works out if you read through the story. Basically, summoned up, if the ESRB was to rate the final product, it'd probably get a "T" rating.

You got it. The style reminds me of Final Fantasy without swords.

We did when we were younger. I was actually going to go for Sword based fighting, However, the Lead programmer, Marc, kept begging me to go with fist and energy based combat. After hearing him bitch a lot, I decided I'd give in and give it a try, and I think now it'll work out fine.
Yeah. I supposed the combat is a little something like DBZ, but I think it's story that separates it from some of those things.

And uhm. what "fox force five" thing?

So is there going to be any sword fighting in the game at all?

Naah. It's a mixture of Fist based and energy base. Though, the way the combat feels, it's almost like holding a sword.

Not yet. Lately I've been refining the design docs (as game designer). Since Its up to me to do A LOT of things in the game (including writing story, character development, game design, graphical programming, and game play programming) it is very difficult for me to cover everything at once.

Yes, there's Marc, But he's working on a completely other section of the game. And Brian is new, and we're still introducing him to the project.

Why don't you guys do a smaller project, so you don't have so much work to do?

We are aware of how massive this project is, and thats why we want to do it. An Indie team has never done anything like this before, and thats why its important that we do it.
