Maybe a book where irrlicht is one of the main topics.

The engine is still to young for a book though.

well, here is why i think that a book for irrlicht is a good "or great" idea:
  • 1- OGRE book helped me, and i'm sure i'm not the only one :P
2- A book for Irrlicht might help the developers, cuz they are not going to make for free of course, it's like the idea of selling irrlicht t-shirts.
3- and like what catron said "an irrlicht book wouldnt be half bad" it's just a helpful i think.
the book "even OGRE one" is not about "how to use the engine", it's just a beginning to make "NEW" irrlicht users more comfortable with the engine, and for new developers to let them know more facts, even if they are existed in the forums, not all people like to go throw the forums and dig for the information.

If anything there should be some more tutorials or additions made to the current tutorials to make it clearer how to do things. A lot of people have trouble with the tutorials or find there isn't really enough in the tutorials to get properly started.

I just think a book would be pointless. What would you propose to put in the book?

Yes I proposed a while ago to create new tutorials. I am willing to contribute.

Almost ALL of the tutorials on the front page are OUT DATED. Why is this? Is the webdev dead lol.

I'll try to create some tuts in HTML format when I have time and I'll host them too, all you gotta do is stick up a picture and link it.

Btw Saigumis tuts lead to a 404, and some of the physics libs on there arent even called that anymore (Hehe tokomak).
