which graphics card should I choose

Discussion about everything. New games, 3d math, development tips...

So maybe I should just go to a store and see if I can get a hardware expert to help?.

Well, if you find your laptop model number and search the web for the specs, you'll be able to find out if you can even replace your graphics card. Sudi's right though, if it's possible then replacing it will be expensive and a pain, you'll have to mess with the delicate innards.
It's probably worth going into a shop and getting someone to do it for you, that way if they break it they'll have to fix it.

Most stores do not have anything near experts. online is about the best place to find information instead of the 19 year old stock boy who knows only what the signs in front of the computer say.

Bel arc would be a good place to print out my laptops specs, I'll take the advice, and make sure that they know what they're doing.

That 19 yr old stock boy will have much more experience in what kind of peripherals work with what kind of laptops than any of us, and is likely to know about all the different incompatibility problems because he's actually seen them all in his day job!
With this kind of problem, a complete non-technical moron with enough experience is worth ten smart techie geeks and their educated guesses ;)

What kind of laptop do you have?? Name/Model ?

Edit: yeah and.. it's pretty hard to upgrade a laptop's video card.
