Don't export lines, we don't support lines in mesh loaders. If the collada files don't work for properly triangulated meshes, please upload them somewhere for us to test.
Just saw this. I'll upload a simple collada output from sketchup for you tomorrow. From what I hear there are a number of programs that wont read their version of collada.
