It has been a while since I have worked on this project. I am still planning to finish it - but I have been working on something else. A multiplayer campaign system/backend, called zero point war written in SQL, with a web based AJAX front end. Almost all the graphic resources for zpw were recycled from zp2, and a lot ov new resources and concepts have been created. (including 100's ov new ships, and 3 new alien species.)

I am almost finished with the current phase of development on zpw, so I have started messing around with the source for zero point 2 again. The idea I have is to make zp2 a 2d client for the zero point universe.

And because development should be in tandem, I started working on zp3d, too.
