You have kinda right. People very often want things that they don't have and they cant appreciate things they have. Always want more and more.
USA is just country of my dreams. And I know that I can realize my dream. Realizing dreams isn't bad.
I am not said that Poland history is bad and USA have greater, better history. Poland was really great country, had great history.
I am really proud of Poland during WWII, look at this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivgCD31iKyg.
Many times there was tears in my eyes when I watched this.
But f*** politicians ruined this country. Today Poland is not Poland from old years. This is why I don't like Poland today.
shadowslair wrote: I`m not fully in love in my country ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgaria ) too, it`s small and poor, realize there are tons of disadvantages and things to be improved, but I still like it the way it is, realize it could`ve been much worse and I`m absolutely sure there are still also many advantages living here, many opportunities. Plus, programming is something you can work everywhere and send your work to your employee or sell it.
In Poland there are some opportunities. Programmers can easily find good paid work. But I am not interested in big money. I just want to making something creative. Develop myself with great people, making great projects.
Making boring database applications for big companies is great paid, but isn't interesting for me.
Research projects is my dream and thing what i want do for the rest of my days (but in far future, at first i need experience).
Poland is not place where I can realize my dream.

shadowslair wrote: Remember that you can live everywhere, but there`ll be one, and only one place you`ll feel at home...
Hmm, I am some different guy.
My home is my computer. I feel good in my room, with my computers, with my system, with my terminal, with my compilers and IDEs.

It's no matter that i am in Poland or USA. I always can log in this forum and I have my favorite people around me :D

PS: I am very sorry of my language. I am good in technician English, but in conversations my language is little worse. I hope you will can understand me :)

I don't know what that video is really about (since it's in Polish obviously) but maybe you would like to read up on some facts rather than getting blinded by emotion and inordinate heroism?
BBC - History - World Wars in-depth
Poland was defeated in 18 days. However, there is no negative connotation here, I'm just stating the facts.

Well, if you're serious about working in the US you will have to work on that. A long-term visa, colleges and most businesses require you to pass the TOEFL.

I know. Poland was defeated very fast. But I am proud that Polish soldiers not run from battlefield, but fight to the end, with awareness that they will lose.
This video is just showing in emotional way what Poland soldiers did.
And I am proud of them. They lose, but I am still proud of them.

I know you probably don't want to hear this and neither will believe me, but bravery usually equals stupidity. If you know you're gonna lose and still fight, it's stupidity ^ 2 .

Yes, here you have right. Better is to back, organize and fight where you can win.

I am now really don't know what to think.
I know just only one - I want to leave this country.

I think we should stop topic about Poland, bravery, history and other.
This does not lead to anything.

I need to some tips what I should do to realize my dream - live in USA.
For now, I have on my list:
- finish studies
- skill-up my language to pass TOEFL test
- check USA work-market and start learning that, what they need

May I suggest a different approach?

Hook up with an easy American chick while you're on vacation and convince, pay or blackmail her into marrying you (choose according to your attributes). That way you'll become a US citizen in no time!

When i said that, i meant it in the sense that bravery kills you. Of course, you, as a general, can win a hard fight that didn't look very good for you in the beginning if your soldiers are braver then the opposing site.
But how many people will have to die because of your "want of the price"?

That's how it works, though. :)
