I'm only worried at how well the wings will translate to low poly

Here are photos of the high poly version so you can compare.

*EDIT*

If you have any suggestions of features would be most appropriate for the model... weapons, clothes, wings, hairstyle, or anything I would greatly appreciate it, even if it sucks! I need some inspiration to move further.

Trying out some armor and clothes. Trying out some of the Irrlicht colors. I might have to switch it up a little. This is just low poly messing around. I think I like this layout and will do the high poly modeling of the clothes next.

You should tweak the face a little, it doesn't look like it's a good fairy atm

Could you give me some examples of what would improve it, thanks. What specifically would you do differently?

Sorry, I'm not a good modeler myself. And I can't explain what is really wrong with it.

You could try looking trough google for fairy pics, find the one that looks good for you and tweak the model a bit according to it.

The face is a bit too hard, it has too many male shapes while a fairy should be completely female

Plus i would recommend very pale skin
irrRenderer 1.0
Height2Normal v. 2.1 - convert height maps to normal maps

Step back! I have a void pointer, and I'm not afraid to use it!

Soft face with pale skin - then all you'll get is a disney fairy which hangs around looking into mirrors all day long. I would prefer a kick-ass punk fairy. The kind of creature that attacks you at full-moon, laughing crazy while casting deathly magic.

Sounds more like a vampire, although a vampire-fairy hybrid could work

I'd prefer some colorful punk to the dark-goth-look of a vampire - more colors than just black&white which could be better for a 3D engine mascot.
And any kind of magic would be nice to show-off particles ^^

Something wrong is with that face. The mouth is too big to the rest of face.
Ears seems be a bit too wide.

About body, I think that torso should be a bit more looking like a "hourglass":

About breasts... it should be really bigger :D
Seriously, _a little bit_ bigger should be better.

About general image of the mascot:

Look at Sinbad, Ogre3D mascot.
He is big, strong, looks really powerful (and also, not too fast :D).
Image

Generally, Irrlicht is mainly known from it's speed.
So, Irrlicht mascot should look very dynamic to show that Irr is extremely fast and agile,
same like Sinbad is showing Ogre3D power.

By the way, there is some old topics about Irrlicht mascot, maybe we will find some old ideas there?

Well if you can tweak the base model so most of the other members are happy with it, then it shouldn't be difficult to mess with clothing and other design details.
The face needs to be reworked, her jaw and chin are far too big and unfeminine.
Her body proportions seem OK to me, but feel free to tweak it if you want

I dont want to resurrect old topics so I'll post it here, I found this just now

I can think of no way of describing it except as "irrlicht fairy" (in the literal sense, not implying that this would be suitable mascot for the irrlicht engine).
Personally I think this kind of mascot *is* unsuitable, it feels too bland and boring.
Although it does pose interesting possibilities for particle and shader rendering...
