UE3 source?, isn't, not at least freely available, it can be obtained licensing the engine for comercial projects, with all the legal stuff covered, and under a non disclosure agreement ^^U

Why would you want UE source? It's not a game, and it's often customized, so having it wouldn't help port any games.

I doubt there's much in there to learn from either, compared to Carmack's code etc.

Speaking of which, you might still be able get ahold of the Shadows of Lylat assets (albeit Creative Commons v3 A,NC,SA license).

Would be quite useful as temporary models for a game, assuming irrlicht can open them (I haven't checked).
The problem at the moment is the download link, which may or may not work.
