Hey Vermeer!!!

I hadn't dropped by Quark's site lately and I went over last night to catch up and now they're mentioning openbsp as the first really free bsp compiler. They also say it's supposed to work with Quark to compile not only Q3 maps but also Doom3. I tried and tried setting things up to get this compiler to work but nothing.

Has anyone succeeded in using it with Quark?

that would be another great solution (besides all the work-arounds we've been forced to create, lol), and best of all free (free level editor, free lightmapper)

I have compiled the test maps in the tool with out a problem, however loading them in Irrlicht is a different story. I'm still working on it trying to create a loader. However I also have a huge amount of work on my hands and well I only have two. :cry: But I will see what I can do I would say at this point the loader is about 75% complete just working out a few errors.
