hey, not gonna be much online, neither gonna be updating this thread with anything at all, but will continue the work on the space ship.

I'll most probably pass the ship to afe, and so will probably be at the end in the game.So that above's the last shot here. Every other new shot must appear in game's site, not here.

I decided also not to be much aorund here, one has a lot of work to do in real life ;)

hello.

well, being distracted with othe rprojects (mainly helping a very good friend) so I guess I'm gonna keep this for rare moments I'm in the mood and with some minutes (ie: while rendering huge lightmaps with other project) and CPU % is ok for extra load ;)

So, in case Blaze team wants to use this as is right now, I can pass to afe the ship, I mean, I know often is good to have at least a sample of what it'll be, and as the mesh is the same since I started first texturing pixels, and will allways be the same....i could send it so u could play with it, having in mind there's loads of detail going to be in it. I just enjoy it that way.

But as dunno when I'll end it, well, I suppose even with some rough touches more would be good to go for just using it, but I tend to do it propperly.

As u see in the shots, it's yet using both sides same texture: the file I'll pass afe, would be just with a second tga, which would be a plain copy of the texture, just asigned to the othe r3d side of the ship, so making two materials. The idea is...put diferent scratches (u can see already one and some bullets holes) in different sides, and of course, make a pixels mirror in the "42", lol....That is, disguise the fact is a mirrored texture. This way it use to end pretty good(using the base texture, I work 50% less, and all matches as in an industrial vehicle), and yet not with the symetrical sindrome...

Oh, remember, is the ship of a veteran, a dirty one. The ship has surpased all kind of escape from bad, bad places.. ;)

(the pilot himself is even uglier...XD )

Well, I hope to end this some day, so u'll see my initial idea better.

I can pass the (very early)WIP to afe in OBJ(Milkshape is one of the few to respect Wings3d hard edges/sooth groups) , or directly Milkshape format (I have also Milkshape) .

Also, is a bit higher surely of what it was intended to be..hehe.

2,332 tris, and 2 textures of 1024x1024. (I don't think it'll loose too much if resized to 512x512, or maybe yes...dunno )
yet in the numbers -or bellow- Unreal Tournament2003 per character specs...

you know, I'm busy now with other stuff...

That coloring reminds me of the colorsceme used on the X-wings and A-wings. :)

hehe, never played those...I only have played old 2d Wing Commander and the very first invaders on arcade machines.

The color scheme is more inspired in the remind of the Ut2k3 missile launcher.

And also, as ...well...i liked to think of it -motivation, u know- more as a frontier wanderer-explorer (ie: like union explorers(western movies) which offer where strange ppl ) , not very well adapted indeed to army and stuf.. ;) but they leave it be.hehe.More the figure of a looser(or a winner, as u wanna put it), than other thing. Well, that's the kind of character I prefer in my comics (whenever I end totally drawing/writting a full one, lol..)

totally unconnected to the actual Blaze game, surely, but the ship will do, probably.

verrrry tiny update....gotta need stop procastinating in this one...it removes me time for other free projects, hehe...though it's usually half an hour every five days, lol... But anbyway, is pretty near the end.... (at this stage, all gets detailed much quicker than before...in my case.)

I guess maybe Blaze is already using other ships instead, but wanted to make a somewhat more worked texture...no photos/refs, is all hand painted, and imho will end up looking much more hi res than its 2,300 tris...

As u see, the guy (frontier wanderer-pilot) is not very careful with is oldie machine...

But I'll wreck it a lot more once have independent 2 maps. XD

It looked very nice before. Now it looks like it has too much detail. . .

hehe...even more...if this were work in a company, they usually ask me for way much more detail than above...but is just a procastinated thingie I just do in very rare chunks of time, and which is close for me to say it's "ended" (it wont be, but functional to use in game, in case the project stills goes on...gotta do pending stuff in other projects...)

btw, it has achieved more detail since those shots above...and will add now more.

yet though each one has its likings on how he/she imagines an space ship...
