Thanks AssiDragon!:) Well, the ideea is that basiically I've made a couple of home brewed RPG makers myself (one in Delphi,2D and one in C++,3D , actualy BCB), about a year ago, before I had a internet connection, so I'm guessing that If I was able to bring up a scripting system and a map system by myself (the 2d version was made in 3 days, it was almost as complete as RPG Maker), I won't have troubles with moving between maps.
Even if I don't make the game, in the end I'll have at least a TPS/Action framework. As for the art support I only have some troubles in modelling humans, the rest being as easy as pie.
BTW this is a small project (the game design doc won't have more than 200 pages) as opposed to an older project of mine, Caenturia, a tps/action that involved 7 different planets, and about 110 locations throughout time, and a certain "column of time", but I'm making this too long... well, au revoir, goodbye, arrivederci... for now!

While they are many fan games, if any of them goes too popular, big N will be interested in it. Square Enix has already shut down a project based on Chrono Trigger, while the developers already had an engine, tons of models, maps and stuff... looked like a few months (at least) work to me :/.

In other words, either make sure your game is legal, or don't make it public.

Hi,

never thought of making a game which seems to be
a clone of Zelda, but isn't?!

Let me explain it:

- You have a little hero with an animal (but not with a "elfe"), maybe it's something like a butterfly (argh... i don't want to think about animals!)

- Then you have a beautiful landscape with waterfalls, big terrains of wildness and so on. This world can have a random name!

- Then you think about the people who live in this world, maybe dwarfs with animals (like the children of the forest...)

- There can be citys where you can buy food, sleep or do training

It's so easy and it seems to be something like a Zelda clone but it isn't!!
Just think about it@ cristian.

Wanna work on that game *lol* It's great to do such a job with a fantasy world. I made such a game in the past (but only a tiny thing of a game) and it's really fantastic.

I would help you developing "Zelda" in 3D!

Well..., what can I say? I need oppinions... Here's a shot (also available in side the project announcements cathegory) of the forest temple (200 years in the past) in development.

As for help, while I do need all of it that I can get, I don't want to drag anyone into any legal matter which might appear, but if anyone wants to help, I would definitley need help concerning :

1) music (I suck here)
2) some 3d models that I cannot create ('cause I suck at HUMAN char modelling) such as : Link, Malon, Ganondorf, and a few others.

As for the story, I needed a "block-solid" introduction to my game, since all my original games (non-inspired by anything) lack a plausible intro, and found it here.

I'll soon start working on Dark Woods (200 years in past) and Kokiri Village (same time).

PS: Oh yeah, if you, the reader, are working for Nintendo, try to keep cool, and wait. I know you've got a big Zelda project going on ("THE LEGEND OF ZELDA:TWILIGHT PRINCESS") so I wont spoil sales and launch my humble project until after your game is launched, ok?
