ANNOUNCEMENT: don't modify your avatar or you'll loose it!

Ok.. I just made a change that should help. I can't turn off Avatar uploads without removing all the ones that everyone who is grandfathered in has.

But, you should now be able to add a remote file.

Look for "Link to off-site Avatar" in your profile.

Ignore the "Upload" ones.

no im a guy. I use that image everywhere tho... Any forum I dont post frequently (aka have 10,000+ posts like my main forum haunt lol), all my Windows XP account profiles (lesse thats 4 logins between the XP Home and Pro x64 installations on both my desktop and my notebook), and any like guestbook sorts of things (like the Irrlicht map). Chobits is my all-time favorite manga/anime, and it just sort of comes to represent me.

Other places, like in MSN and my main haunt, I change the avatar every so often depending on what I feel like at the time

perhaps its size? your bmp is like 26 kb. Try converting it to jpeg and compressing it to something like 4-5 kb. GIF is another good alternative.

try using this one, or linking to this one instead (jpeg, square 80x80):

you'll have to fight my 3 dogs to take over my snacks!!! the almighty and powerful canines from hell!!! kyra, leehlooh and... Jonas!!!.. a beagle, a shnauzer and what we call here a "creole" dog we picked up from the street, hhehehehehehe
