People who have clean desktops never really use their computers full potential.

Yes thats true, I hate to see a desktop without a single icon.
Desktop is made for holding icons. So if it doesn't holds icons it might as well dye.

i hate desktops with icons :) why should a desktop contain icons? if you open up a browser or something like that you cant see them anyway, so the hell with them :D

Well then you can press Win+D. I also hated icons for some time, but then one time i wanted to run mv2p, and i searched in quick launch, on hard disk, everywhere... i freaked out and realized true meaning of a desktop.

Icon's on the desktop are ok until you get a few dozen of them, then it just becomes a mess! How many hours spent trying to find one lousy Icon in a sea of Icons. :(

Back in the days of Win 3.x and it's Program Manager, that's how things should be organized, all related Icons grouped together. Thankfully there's third party software to help fix the problem, though it's still not as good as the Program Manager was.

Icons are for noobs my configuration allows me to open drives with a single click without hindering my system like shortcuts do. I don't even need the task manager.

Don't you guys know how to pin things to the start menu?

All Programs was designed to house all programs not the desktop you noobs.

Once you have a true understanding of how windows GUI operates you'll have no use for all those cluttered icons.

that is the uglyest desktop i ever saw. First of all background is white, and text is white, even if text isn't white; white isn't good for eyes. Second i hate other languages then english on a PC. ( I'm not EnglishMan but i use English ). And simply it's just ugly, ahh i can't look.
And also i hate new XP style, it's for idiots with eye problems.
And CS, look at my signature.
