ahh these little voices in my head they want to get out!! they always wisper "ogre .. take ogre!!!!you have to use ogre!!" where is my medicine hehe
to the actual topic:
so this is not only a "showcase" for models and levels, but also coding work? so we get out something like a "magazine" every months with a few nice examples + code + screenshots that is needed/wanted by most of the people?

well not new, my desktop i've had since May (has an 3200+) and Ive had the copy of x64 for it since August, but i didnt get around to installing x64 until last week (was gonna wait until I got some more hard drives for it but i kinda needed it to clean up a problem)
my notebook (has a Mobile AMD64 3400+) I've had set up with x64 since I got my first copy in in late June/early July, and its been set up for Irrlicht since then.
just finished setting CodeBlocks up on my desktop's x64 installation earlier today and got the 64-bit DLL compiled and ready.
Ok I am very interested in taking in this Idea and making something of it. I was thinking it should be something like Game of the Month. You enter by posting screenshots or a demo to the community VIA the IrrDev Forum It will be in a poll format for all the users to take a vote in. I'm open to suggestions so please feed me your ideas.

hmm I'm too lazy to make a game every month, monthly games would be mostly crap and I've made more than my share of crap games in my time. scene nodes and other snippets would be cool though
Yes what I ment was like a running exe or something. We could also bring back the screenshot contest, or the screenshot of the month thing Niko used to do.

I've made a mesh deforming tutorial from the water surface scene node, it covers meshes, mesh buffers and vertex types. Doesnt seem to work with shadows or lighting though, maybe someone can fix that
so...
we've got 26 players.. we need volunteers to make contests, I guess I'm one. we need an organiser or a committee to run it or something, maybe a wiki page to debate rules and stuff would be best.
so what next?
...maybe a wiki page to debate rules and stuff would be best.
I say just make a new sub-forum for the contests, with stickys stating the rules and such, and have everybody post their entries there, that way, nobody has to update a webpage for people to see other peoples submissions.
