Ah, that explains it. I designed Dauntless Rogue to run at 1280x1024 with fallback 1024x768 support if necessary, but didn't properly test it. I'll see if I can fix it.

Well, this time I made it to the game but my crappy pc wouldn't run it too well.

That's odd you had performance issues; My computer is similar to yours.

N*Vidia GeForce FX 5200 w/256 MB VRAM
Athlon 2800+
512 MB RAM
Intigrated sound card (I think)

And it runs at 30-60 FPS for me.

Radeon 9250 is only a 128mb
That makes a pretty hefty difference as I noticed in some games.
But oh well, even with a bit of performance problems I was still able to kill some beasts :D

runs perfectly on my system.
amd 2000+
256mb ramm
geforce 4 ti4200

nice game i like it....but it is kinda impossible to hit an enemy with a melee weapon without getting hit.....therefor it is really hard....

I'm currently making the game a little more pretty; I'm adding two enemy types (now it's giant spider, will o' wisp, and an imp).

I streamlined the game, fixed bugs, and added new levels to it; this will be the final version for a while. Get it at the same page.

I dunno what it is with me and wanting to kill those sun-looking things. Ive died like 8 times and keep wanting to kill more :P

Thanks for the positive feedback! Like I said, this will be the last release for a while, but I will still improve it from time to time. Do you have any suggestions about what to improve?

Hmm if anything, I need to be informed of the keys to press to do actions. I had no clue what to press when I entered the game. All I could infer were the movement and attack keys.

Ofcourse graphics need to be updated, but thats surely already on your plan.

I was thinking of making a tutorial level in the game that would describe the actions the player can do. As for the graphics, indeed, they're rather rough, and I'm going to try to improve them.
