I like threads like this. The only question I have in mind while reading such things is: "what would a priate do?".

FSM Pirates would probably eat spaghetti and drink beer and blog their ironic commentary. Or maybe it's just me.

I would love to see a good, entertaining Christian game. Like maybe a Crusader game, in the same vein as Muslim Massacre. Or perhaps a God game like Black and White, but with more interesting powers. Like getting to make it with the 'virgins' in your towns to make magical super-units, or nuking stuff with your wrath.

It is a shame that past religious games have sucked, and are targeted at children with boring or absurd gameplay. Judeo-Christian mythology is full of all sorts of exciting stuff that would make for a cool game, and I hope you explore the possibilities, Dcworks.

Since you didn't tell us anything about a game design, you might be looking for game ideas. I wonder if anyone else has an idea for a Christian game?

Err.

I dislike cristians, they often hide behind their believes.
What kind of game you had in mind for the crist?
First adding the right gameplay would be difficult. Especially when you try to attract youngsters. Youngsters like me love violence, which you cant have when you make a crist game (altough they'v been murdering people for the past centuries in the name of crist.) Also protestants (eh I don't really know what it is called in english sorry) don't want crist/god be drawn. Atleast thats what ive heard. Your most likely to offend someone with a game like this.

No offence but I seriously doubt this 'll work,
Still the kindest regards.

*note with youngsters I mean people around the age of fifteen.
The Story of God is a RPG game that will have the player immersed in the World that took place 2000 years ago…the Life of Jesus Christ that is in the Gospels. Players will go through each scripture in a vivid life-like fashion where they will be able to experience the bible days and live it and receive powerful revelation of Jesus Christ that they can carry to their every day lives. They will know understand and perceive the Love God has for a dying world and his plan to save it through his only begotten son Jesus Christ. Players will play through various places in the bible from Jerusalem, Samaria etc…. and will be able to see the scriptures come to life.
I'm not enthousiastic.. sorry.

First off, Christ. I mean, chances are that whatever country you're from, christian history is a big influence on your society, so please, at the very least, learn to spell it.

Second, you don't like Christians? That's pretty insulting when you consider the number of self-proclaimed Christians and the Christian religion size. That's like saying "I don't like Arabs, Chinese, Japaneses, etc." So please, a bit of respect. One man yelling doesn't automatically speak for all men, same goes for Christians. Judge everyone based on their merits.

Finally, why is this thread even up? The website pointed in it is breaking some US laws and sourceforge forbids posting links on their hosting to sites breaking US laws (amongst other rules they break, for that matter...) so it might as well be deleted.

Well, here's a pre-Christian era game that looks interesting as well...

um, if he dislikes Christians (for whatever reason) that's his own personal opinion, although I agree that stereotyping a large group of people based on the actions/behaviour of a few is really wrong.

But this thread should really be deleted.
There's no value in keeping it (not even "for a laugh"), and can potentially lead to a lot more (highly) offensive comments being made.

Look at roelor, itching to jump and raring to go.

Ahhh, the sweetness of youth, I just love those years.

Enjoy it while you're still young, roelor. Before they bend you out of your youth and into manhood--yuck.

Oh, an opinion is fine. You can't police (and shouldn't!) what people think. BUT expressing it is different. Especially on a forum (read, expression location, not a internet forum as in phpbb per say) that is privately own (yep, sourceforge) and that dictate a tos. I think there's also a eula. Anyhow, keep it proper, it's all I'm saying. The same words for other groups would provoke a big reaction so let's always act civil, aigh't?

*apologies for one word used in the next picture, but I doubt the message could possibly be better conveyed than with this picture*
